So Boo is Six now and started first grade. She has so much personality and I don't where she gets it from. She is a clown, but sharp as a tac. She doesn't let anything slip by her.

My Boo is the greatest! She shines and has such a pleasant personality. Always the fair, just one. Everything Must be equal. There is no accept ions. She is Healthily shy at first, but makes friends on a dime if it's another 6 yr old. I Love my little Boo. She is the Woman of my life. Sometimes, I think that life tends to get in the way of being able to truly say how I feel. I am still fearful of how she is handling the Divorce, and the thoughts of losing her mommy. She is growing up so quickly, and will be graduating kindergarten in a few weeks. Amazing.

I know that it has been quite some time since I have blogged, yet I am still here. Below you can see one of the videos that I helped to film yet I can not take credit in putting it together. I have been kinda busy with some DQ things which you are more than welcome to check out here or here

It's been a while since AI wrote. If you have been here before, you've probably noticed the new look. I have been spending most of my extra time putting together Boos-Corner (right column) and trying to build an archive of videos for family. I enjoy sharing tidbits that I find or links that should be shared, although I'm not much for writing my personal thoughts. There are times in life where it just seems like no matter what you do you never seem to catch up. I was thinking about the time when I was a teen and how I thought my life was so rough. All of the emotional issues I dealt with and and having to go to school for 6 long periods. Now I look at those times and I want them back. I want to be able to sleep in on the weekends, going out at night with my friends, and having to decide if I want to watch voltron or thundercats. Growing up isn't all it's cracked up to be. I am now at a point where I just want to slow down enough to watch my little girl grow up, but it seems like life has a way of making things speed up when it's fun and really slow down when it's not so fun. I am happy to know that no matter how bad it seems to get, that God has already seen me through. I can take comfort in knowing that I am his and he will not let me deal with anything that he knows I can't handle. Sometimes it's a crazy ride not knowing which way the next turn is going to take me, I am just glad that I have a wonderful supporting family and a lovely wife as a co-rider on this journey. I like to think that I try hard at everything that I do, but when I think back at some of my failed attempts at some things I've done I realize how foolish I am to think that I am anything without Gods hands to guide me. It is a continuous trait that I hate to admit, but by looking at my past you can see the things that God has a hand in and then how I start to try and take over and it crumbles. Then I go back to God and he does it again, then I grab it to do it myself and I squish it. Like a child that wants so bad to emulate or to create like his daddy but only messes up each time. Lucky for me God has patience with me. I hope that I can break this cycle of trying to take things out of his hand to make them mine and just sit back and allow him to work through me. Maybe, just maybe I can start to enjoy the ride rather than control it. Thank you for your patience Lord for I know that I am a dumb creature that cannot see beyond his nose.

Well it is finally up. We are proud of our new look and I bid everyone to go and check it out. The look is clean yet it's easy to get around on. Things will be changing again shortly so keep on checking for add ons.
On to other things I had a very enjoyable trip to the Ukraine and look forward to working on the video for Kenny and Cross Culture. We were able to get some final interviews with Kenny, Laura and Tim this past Thursday. It took a bit to get back into the swing of things, but I am trying to move back into the Groove. Sofia and Bethany are doing good, although Bethany seems to be favoring her leg every once in a while. We had previously gotten her leg x-rayed with no problems found. The moment we think that there is a issue, she starts to walk on it again. Work (Trane) has been... Work. Sofia and a I are trying to figure out a way to move out and find us a place, and we are looking at possible ways to do that. I will keep you informed with that as it becomes more clear. I am happy to say that we (5forty 2) has also produced it's first installment of topical shorts in a series of DVD's. It looks very good cover and all. They will be sold Via E-mail, Sermon Spice.com, and church Book Store. We may be able to push it futher and work with local christian books stores but I have not done any research on that yet. The first DVD holds 8 shorts, and the next group will probably hold extras, but we will see.
I hope tha this fills in some of the gap since last writing.

Estimated total: $22,089.00 That is what I've found as a cost to adopt a child from the Ukraine. I did not do a lot of research, but that seems crazy since they have over 100,000 children living in orpahanages. I will be finding out more about this process in the next month with a trip to the Ukraine in order to film a DVD. Movie reviews

There are some good movies out there right now, but not like the movies of the past. We have seen the way that CG has caused us to enter into worlds that we have never dreamed of and seen creatures that were only in dreams(or Nightmares). But what about those classics that brought us to where we are now. I guess one of the most argued Question in history is what is the BEST movie out there. Of course you have the Brain dead that will say The Godfather without taking a breath, but if you put some real thought into it, there are many movie that are worth considering. There is one Movie in 1984 that really stirs me RED DAWN I have seen a lot of movies over the years, but there is something raw about the way that it was filmed. The idea of America being under seize. We have all types of war movies out there, but none of them go this direction. And the timing of this movie being at the peak of the Cold War with the Russians could put a chill in anyone during those days. I remember nights as a 13 year old boy looking up in the sky and thinking that at any time we could be seeing a missile in the sky that could destroy us in a blink of an eye. I actually remembered crying in bed not wanting to die yet. I know I wasn't the only one that felt that we were on the edge of a razor blade in those days. When I saw this movie, it was very disturbing. If you truely want to see a good movie, go to the video store and rediscover this classic. It may not be the greatest movie ever made, ( it was knocked out of the running just because Patrick Swayze is in it) but it had a very strong impact on our generation growing up in some pretty scary times

We are celebrating Christmas a little different this year. Instead of letting the retail market get the best of our hard earned cash, we decided to hold off for one wek to give gifts in order that we might be able to find the same things we were going to buy last week on sale. Now we have begun to find a flaw in this experiment, which is that most stores have been stripped of all of their stock and the employyes seem to be a little less than friendly due to the fact that they are working the day after christmas. I guess I would be a little unhappy as well. Our plan also included going to the christmas tree lots and picking out a tree that would have been left over from the season, and would fetch little or no cost to us. Again, we ran into the problem that most of the tree lots closed shop a week before christmas, and the only trees that were found made the charlie brown christmas tree look like a 10 foot douglas fur. We did however find some rough looking trees on the trashpiles in front of some peoples house (which leads you to wonder what kind of person throws away a christmas tree less than 24 hours after the big event). Well the good thing is that fake christmas trees do go on sale along with the wrapping paper and ordiments. Well, the rest of the week is going to be interesting to see if we can muster up enough christmas spirit as the rest of the world tries to go back to the normal hustle and bustle. We do hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and for those that swim against the calendar of the retail world, Pre- Merry Christmas to you.
